Birth of Planet Earth is a show that tells the twisted tale of Earth’s origins.  Our planet formed four and a half billion years ago, and scientists now think that our galaxy is filled with planetary systems, including planets roughly the size of our own. An important question is how the Moon formed. According to a major hypothesis, it came into being as a result of a catastrophic collision, which is depicted realistically on our planetarium dome.
