Sport SA offer Child Safe Officer Training courses, both online and face-to-face. 

A Child Safe Officer at your club is vital to promote the message that keeping children safe is everyone's responsibility. All clubs should be working to ensure everyone is aware of the club's policies and procedures to support this goal.

Hockey SA has zero tolerance of Child Harm. Hockey SA will provide child safe environments in line with the provision of the Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017.

• Hockey SA will actively work to listen to, respect and empower children, and to encourage their participation in Hockey;
• Has established policies and procedures that seek to protect Children from harm, and will take all allegations and concerns very seriously and will respond to them consistently, in line with relevant policies and procedures.
• Is committed to regularly training and educating our Staff and Volunteers about Child Harm risks.
• Is committed to educating our member Clubs & Association about the importance of child safety practices, policies and processes.
