Strap in for your very own indoor beach sculpting experience! A most versatile of artistic mediums, the properties of Magic Sand capture the imagination and make building sculpting skills easy!
Powered by science, this isn't your Grandmother's sandpit! Magic Sand Physics allows your young people to learn new artistic skills, explore the practical applications of structural engineering with sand to create sculpture and mould models straight from their imagination, with some architectural inspiration from history.
What happens in this incursion?
Magic Sands Sculptors runs in a workshop format, with small groups of children seated around our Sand Sculpture pods, covering a variety of sculpting techniques and tool-based approaches.
Students will sculpt faces, figures, foods and approach architectural styles from around the world, while their Magic Sands Sculpture presenter moves throughout the group, guiding and challenging on an individual basic to suit differing ability-levels. The children will sculpt numerous solo creations, with the option to combine together to tackle larger challenges.
The children will learn a variety of sculpting techniques, with and without sculpting tool and moulds, and are posed a series of activities and challenges to suit their ability-level.
Adaptable to All Ages and Skill-Levels
We are adept at communicating skills to all kids, irrespective of their age. While this incursion suits primary-school-aged kids and up, it can also be altered to fit pre-schoolers’ ability-level, too. Every type of sculpture or build contains a range of technical skills that vary in difficulty, meaning that the full breadth of ability-levels can be addressed within the one workshop.
We guarantee each child will succeed in achieving skills to express themselves through sculpture now and into the future – this is the goal of the way we teach and the challenges we set.
We want every participant to unlock the joys of trying something new and doing something they didn’t realise they could!
