Be The Future For The Wild Incursion
Experience a wild educational incursion like no other with Taronga Zoo Sydney and Be The Future.
This unique incursion will intertwine the chance to come face to face with native animals, and to explore climate solutions using interactive digital floor games and recycled materials.
These wildly fun workshops bring a rich mix of storytelling, hands-on activities and close-up encounters with Australian animals straight into your classroom and school hall.
Stage 1, 2 and 3 students will experience 2 x 1 hour curriculum-aligned workshops:
🚌 Zoomobile Workshop by Taronga Zoo Sydney:
Stage 1: Backyard Buddies
- Students will meet, learn about and interact with a range of incredible Australian animals (e.g. frogs, lizards, turtles, snakes, possums)
- Students will learn about which living things in our backyards could use a helping hand
- Students will learn how to discover and identify common garden invertebrates and how to create habitats for local native animals
Stage 2: The Earths' Environment
- Students will meet, learn about and interact with a range of incredible Australian animals (e.g. frogs, lizards, turtles, snakes, possums)
- Students will learn about the importance of habitats for animals and people and discover the ways people value environments
- Students will investigate how people can use places and environments in a more sustainable way and how our choices impact on these places
Stage 3: Adaptions in a Changing World
- Students will meet, learn about and interact with a range of incredible Australian animals (e.g. frog, possum, lizard, snake, turtle, echidna)
- Students will observe a range of animal adaptations and consider how today’s changing environments challenge our wildlife
- Students will also explore what we can do to combat negative human impacts on the environment
🌱 Interactive Workshop by Be The Future:
Stage 1: Nature-Based Climate Solutions
- Students will enjoy awe-inspiring, interactive storytelling and hands-on activities that engage & empower
- Students will explore nature-based solutions around the globe, using their bodies and props to play interactive digital floor projection games
- Students will enjoy a team mission to create a plant with a feature for an Australian animal with recycled cardboard and STEM tools
Stage 2 and 3: Nature-Based Climate Solutions
- Students will enjoy awe-inspiring, interactive storytelling and hands-on activities that engage & empower
- Students will explore nature-based solutions around the globe, using their bodies and props to play interactive digital floor projection games
- Students will enjoy a team mission to create a wildlife corridor for an Australian animal with recycled cardboard and STEM tools

- Based on this, 4 x classes could rotate through the Be The Future For The Wild Incursion progam in one day.
